This product is an ELISA kit that allows us to specifically assay mouse and rat plasma GLP-1 using anti-GLP-1 antibody with high specificity. This product has a sensitivity above 10 times higher than that of our conventional product (Rat GLP-1 ELISA Kit wako: 291-59201).

GLP-1, a gastrointestinal hormone secreted from intestinal L cells, shows activities to enhance glucose-stimulated insuline secretion and reduce blood glucose levels through inhibition of glucagon secretion.
GLP-1 has been reported to be a novel useful antidiabetic for type 2 diabetes.
