Grant Description:

FUJIFILM Biosciences is committed to supporting and investing in the future of scientific innovation. As part of that commitment, we are launching the first ever FUJIFILM Biosciences Disease Modeling Research Grant contest—where we will be awarding three researchers up to $5,000 USD worth of FUJIFILM Biosciences reagents to fund their study.

This research grant is designed to help accelerate breakthrough discoveries for innovative research projects by supplying scientists with high-quality materials that promote cell survival, stability, and reproducibility during model development and discovery research. We are looking to support bold ideas that bridge mechanistic insight and real-world impact in areas of focus such as:

  • iPSC-based disease modeling
  • 2D and 3D cell culture and organoid systems
  • Functional assay development
  • Translational disease research
Award Amount:

Up to $5,000 USD towards a selection of FUJIFILM Biosciences reagents.* View the prize product list

Application Deadline:

September 25, 2026 11:59 PM PDT | September 26, 2026, 2:59 AM EDT | September 26, 2026, 8:59 AM CEST

Applications must be submitted before the deadline to be considered.

Number of Awardees:

Three (3) awardees will be selected.

Winner Announcement:

Selected awardees will be notified directly by email during the week of Oct 26, 2026, using the email address provided in the application form.

Who is Eligible:

FUJIFILM Biosciences welcomes applications from researchers who are:

  • Conducting disease-focused life science research
  • Affiliated with academic, nonprofit, biotech, or pharmaceutical institutions in the US, Canada, and Europe (EU countries, UK, Switzerland, Norway, and Republic of Türkiye)
  • Able to initiate their project shortly after award notification
  • 18 years of age or older and authorized by their institution to participate

Application Overview:

Submitted research proposals should include (maximum 400 words):

  • The biological question being addressed
  • The disease relevance and impacts
  • The experimental strategy
  • Collaborators
  • How FUJIFILM Biosciences reagents will enable the research study: View full list of supported reagents
  • Up to three figures with legends
  • References (limit 200 words)

How Applications are Evaluated:

A multidisciplinary review committee from FUJIFILM Biosciences and FUJIFILM Corporation will evaluate proposals for each research study based on the rubric below:

Scientific soundness Clarity and rigor of the research approach.
Innovation potential Originality of the concept.
Translational relevance Potential to advance the understanding of the disease in focus.
Practical execution plan How you plan to leverage the approved FUJIFILM Biosciences products to accomplish the research and a realistic timeline of the study.

Future Collaboration Opportunities

FUJIFILM Biosciences celebrates scientific achievement, and we would like to share your accomplishments with other scientists around the world. Award recipients may be invited to collaborate with us on knowledge-sharing activities such as:

  • Research spotlight features
  • Webinars
  • Conference presentations
  • Case studies

Participation details will be discussed collaboratively and require mutual agreement.
